They say that necessity is the mother of invention. With the current economic crisis bringing job losses, many people are wondering how they are going to survive.  Having an income is necessary in our society and the more complex it gets the more income we need. The advent of the Internet has created more opportunities than people realize. There are just as many opportunities, if not more, on the Internet as there are in the Brick and Mortar world.  The advantage of the Internet being is that you do not have to travel to these locations.  I am talking about being a virtual employee.  From freelance writing to graphic design, to being a virtual assistant, the opportunities are out there.  It just takes a little time and effort to find them.  Often-times employers are willing to pay more for a virtual employee than one they would hire to work in an office, because it reduces their overhead and overall costs to have an employee physically present.  So, if you want a little more security or to just have a safety net underneath you in these volatile economic times, the answer is as far as your favorite search engine.  Just plug in something pertaining to online jobs, virtual employers, or the like and research what comes up, you might be surprised at what you find out there.
