It was a bit of controversy over some famous retail chain stores do justify their acts of wasting. Due to difficulties in our economic situation recently, many people becomes unemployed, or facing default on mortgage problem. Many families even without a home to live. Should we do our good will to contribute some unwanted clothing or goods to charity, so these families or children might have something to wear in return?
In the recent scandals, H&M, an European fashion retain chain stores, was accused by many that they waste most of their unsold clothing at the back of its alleyway. If you are not familiar with H&M, it is a Swedish company run retail – chain stores which for sale fashionable clothing for all age of people. They are popular with great price and affordable deal. According to the recent report, H&M was spotted at New York, some of its unsold clothing was slashed, and cut to pieces, and dumped to the dumpster when it was still in good condition. Some people might think that is the waste of our resources. Some people can use them for good purpose, especially the charity organization. Since there were many people without good clothings. Or send them to the third world country to do some good deed. It would be a classic example for our other famous retail chain stores too. They don’t have to waste all the good stuff, even though they are unsold. They can send them to help out others.
From my point of view, we as American, has tendency to waste our natural resources at all costs. We should understand how to reuse them or make it in good purpose, other than waste it.
