Description of a Real Estate Rehabber

Posted on February 27, 2010 by Carole Somer

A real estate rehabber is a person who purchases property with the sole intent of repairing, renovating or improving the property for resale or profit. The rehabber has no intention of living in the property, only to make money. A rehabber is a Broker’s dream client. If you are in real estate, then you have seen many rehabbers. Many names for the same man or person. Rehabber or renovator, it is the same thing.

A rehabber looks for distressed properties that need minor work usually. This could be paint, roof, plumbing, carpeting, bath repairs and new kitchens. Most rehabbers are not interested in huge projects that need thousands of dollars, but for the right property they will invest the needed amount of money.

The Thrill of Seeing the Finished Product:

Rehabbers enjoy the pursuit of a property and they enjoy seeing the finished job. They are vsionaries and they have a goal and plan involved. They do a great deal of the work themself and they have hands-on experience in the project to save money of course. A rehabber is a dreamer, a person who makes dreams come true and the type of person who hopes for that dream deal. A rehabber could be you.
