We all might hear about this new devices used by criminals. They installed a ATM skimmer at those ATM machine, and they will make copy of the information from your check card magnetic strip on the back. Once they got your information recorded within the skimmer, they still need your PIN number to get full access to your account. They will install the tiny camera either on the ATM booth above your head, or they might installed in behind the brochure rack. If you see anything out of color, or usual, you should stop your activity, and report to the bank immediately. Sometimes, criminals will install those keypad to steal your PIN number while you pressing on the keys. So, if you feel the keypad is out of usual position, or protruding out, stop and report to the bank too.
Criminals can instantly steal your information, and transfer your money to a debit gift card instantly. During the past years, many people lost their money from ATM skimmer. Criminals stole the identity to do online shopping, and many other activities. I think our banks should do something seriously prevent such activities. If the bank see anything out of order, they should call the customers immediately to confirm the transaction before make it valid. It is the only way to protect the customers.
